Orco Germany S.A. publishes a significant loss in the first half year 2009

Orco Germany will publish a loss of approx. EUR 104 Mio in the first half year 2009. This result is mainly due to the revaluation loss on the investment properties (EUR -60 Mio.), impairments on inventories (EUR -35 Mio.) and the market valuation of interest hedging instruments (EUR -8 Mio.). These extraordinary effects will negatively affect the group results in an amount of EUR 103 Mio.
